Meagan and Brandon met at work, although they aren’t employed by the same employers. Isn’t it funny how paths cross and somehow an ordinary day suddenly turns extraordinary?
Meagan and Brandon actually met at the bank in which Meagan is employed. Brandon was doing extra security at that location - the very first day of her working at this location as a matter of fact! She specifically remembers walking into work and seeing Brandon there. She said to herself, “Damn, this man looks good!”
The two started off as friends and just talked a lot. Eventually Brandon decided to show her how he felt. Two days before her birthday Brandon had flowers and candy delivered to the bank and asked her to be his girlfriend.
Their first date was going to dinner at Logan’s and then to Melody Ranch to dance the night away. They both couldn’t stop smiling to the point of their cheeks hurting. Meagan said she felt so special and still to this day Brandon makes her feel that same way.
On December 24, 2019 Brandon proposed to Meagan. They celebrated the holiday a day early because Brandon had to work. On the night of December 23rd, after all the kids were sound asleep, they snuck the presents under the tree. Without her noticing, he left Meagan a gift hidden in the tree. The next morning they passed out all the presents (besides Meagan’s hidden gift) and enjoyed watching the kids open their gifts. Once the kids’ gifts were opened everyone was eager for her to open her gift! She didn’t know what they were talking about. What gift were they talking about? They told her she missed one gift and that she needed to look inside the tree. Meagan looked for the gift and finally found it. She opened it and found a personalized glass ornament that said, “Meagan,” on one side. The other side said, “You are an amazing woman and mother! You have become a major part of our lives. We love you with all our hearts. Will you marry me?” After reading these words, Meagan turned around to find Brandon on one knee.
Their wedding is scheduled for April 24, 2021 in Riesel, Texas with the reception to follow in Axtell, Texas. Brandon says it’s a good thing their getting married in April since that’s “just turkey season.” Brandon’s favorite thing to do is hunt so a fall wedding was definitely not going to happen! Meagan jokes about telling Brandon and his brother that she doesn’t care what they do as long as they are at the wedding on time…dressed! Now Brandon jokes by saying he could possibly be turkey hunting that morning!
